What If Your Body Was Never a Wrongness?

About my journey with the Right Body for You tools
A Body Image Conversation

For years, I truly believed I was out of judgment with my body.
I wasn't criticizing it. I wasn’t trying to force it into something it wasn’t. I definitely wasn’t judging other people’s bodies. In fact, I was doing all the “right” things—eating consciously, moving it with joy, being grateful.
And then… my body started to shift.
The shape changed. The sensations changed. The way it functioned, the way it looked in the mirror, even the way clothes fit—none of it matched the version I had grown comfortable with.
And suddenly, judgment came flooding in.
Not all at once, not like a loud scream. More like a creeping whisper: This isn’t how it’s supposed to be… You should fix this… What happened to you?
That’s when I realized something massive:
I hadn't stopped judging my body. I had just judged it as good.
As long as my body aligned with the image I had defined as “right,” I believed I was at peace with it. But that so-called peace was just a quiet, disguised form of judgment.
I wasn't free. I was just on the “positive” end of polarity.
And when that polarity flipped— as it can occasionally —I fell into the exact same trap. Only this time, the body that once earned my approval now “deserved” my rejection.
How often do we do this?
We define “good” skin, “healthy” weight, “strong” limbs, and “youthful” appearance as the right body. And as long as we maintain those, we think we’re loving ourselves.
But real allowance isn’t about your body being right.
It’s about your body being free and having the Right Body for You™.
Free to change. Free to age. Free to be and have what works for your body. Free to feel what it feels, look how it looks, move how it moves… without you making it significant, right, or wrong.
So… What if your body was never wrong?
Not yesterday. Not today. Not even in the moments you’re convinced it’s betraying you.
What if every change is actually an awareness? A gift? A whisper of consciousness from your body saying, Hey... what else is possible now?
Here’s a question you might try (and don’t look for the answer—just allow the space it opens):
Body, what do you know that I’m not acknowledging?
And another:
If I had no judgment of my body right now, what would I choose?
What if judgment isn't required at all? Not even the “positive” kind.
And what if true communion with your body begins—not when it matches your ideals—but when you're willing to be present with it, exactly as it is?
No fixing. No rejecting. Just being.
How much more ease could you have with your body if you never made it wrong again?
With gratitude for every molecule of you and your body, Kirsten Bonanza, Certified Facilitator with Access Consciousness
