Have you heard of the Clearing Statement from Access Consciousness®? Right & Wrong, Good & Bad, POC & POD, All 100, Shorts, Boys, POVADs, Creations, Bases, and Beyonds™ is what we are talking about here.
So what is the Clearing Statement? What do the words in the Clearing Statement mean? AND How the heck do you use the Clearing Statement?
Let's me start off by saying that there is no complete written guide to the Clearing Statement except for what is available in the class manuals and the literature of Access Consciousness®; it is a tool, and one of many, that come from the body of Access tools to help create a greater world for us all. More information from Access on this topic can be found on www.theclearingstatement.com where there's a great video on that site explaining all the parts with Dr. Dain Heer & Simone Milasas.
You can also learn more about what has been written about the Clearing Statement and other easily accessible tools for day to day happiness and creating more consciousness in your life during the full day certificate class for Bars Practitioners - Access Bars®.
What is the Clearing Statement?
Life is full of judgments, patterns, and habits we barely notice — deciding what is “right” or “wrong,” “good” or “bad,” repeating emotional loops, or clinging to old stories. The Clearing Statement, used in Access Consciousness®, is a tool to bring awareness to these patterns and release what no longer serves you. Like Archangel Gabriel's Horn and Merlin the Wizard's staff, the Clearing Statement puts the power in your hands to start making changes even if you don't quite know where to begin. Its magical the way that it can zap away issues that you never though would move, but it is not magic. It is a simple phrase that anyone can use, even if you don't remember it fully (more on this later.)
By learning how to work with this tool, you can:
Loosen judgments and rigid thinking.
Gain awareness of the origins of your behaviors and reactions.
Recognize subtle energy patterns and points of view.
Explore the deeper layers of limitation in the situations you've created in your life.
This guide walks you through some of the key concepts, step by step.
What do the words in the Clearing Statement mean?
Right & Wrong / Good & Bad — Releasing Judgment
Most of us unconsciously categorize experiences as good, bad, right, or wrong. These judgments can reinforce old patterns, keeping our thinking and behavior limited.
The Clearing Statement invites you to notice your judgments and release them. By doing so, you create space for new awareness and new possibilities.
Practical Tip: When a judgment arises, silently say:
“Everything that this is I destroy and un-create it.”
This simple step helps soften rigid perceptions and allows you to respond more consciously.
POC (Point of Creation)
POC is all about origins. Where did a feeling, a decision, or a pattern first form? Sometimes we carry reactions that were seeded years ago, long before we even knew what was happening. Identifying the POC is like noticing the root of a tree — it helps us understand why the branches look the way they do.
POD (Point of Destruction)
Once we know where something started (POC), the next question is where it’s being reinforced or “destroyed” now — that’s the POD. This is where patterns show up in daily life, where the old story keeps getting replayed, often unconsciously.
All 100
“All 100” is a nod to all the ways we create our experience. Every thought, every assumption, every belief — these are the 100+ ways our lives are being constructed moment by moment. Recognizing this opens up the possibility to shift the patterns we don’t want and lean into the ones we do.
Shorts
“Shorts” is a compact, almost poetic way to point at meaning and meaninglessness, reward and punishment. It’s like a snapshot of how we tend to simplify or compress our experiences into quick judgments — and how that simplification shapes our reality.
Boys
Here’s where it gets a little more abstract. “Boys” are also called nucleated spheres, these are pre-verbal energetic patterns that don’t easily change. Think of them as habits, reactions, or emotional grooves that have been forming since before words or conscious understanding came into play. They’re sticky, but not impossible to shift.
POVADs
POVADs are our points of view we’re defending or avoiding. Every time we argue, justify, or run away from something, there’s a POVAD in action. The Clearing Statement encourages us to notice these defended viewpoints and release them, freeing up space to see things freshly.
Creations
This one is straightforward. “Creations” refers to the realms we actually create — the choices, actions, and outcomes that have manifested in our life. It’s a reminder that we are constantly co-creating our reality, whether we notice it or not.
Bases
“Bases” are the foundations we use to judge life — our internal measuring sticks for win/lose, right/wrong, success/failure. By noticing the bases we operate from, we can see how they shape the stories we tell ourselves and whether those stories are serving us.
Beyonds
Finally, “beyonds” point to the deep, frozen feelings that stop possibilities. These are the old wounds, traumas, or stuck energy that live just beyond conscious awareness. By bringing them into awareness, even just a little, we open the door to movement, possibility, and choice.
How do you use the Clearing Statement?
Short vs Long Clearing Statements
The Clearing Statement can be recited in short or long versions depending on your needs.
The Long version:
“Right & wrong, good & bad, POD & POC, all 100, shorts, boys, POVADs, creations, bases and beyonds.”™ This version sweeps broadly across judgments, patterns, and energy layers — useful when you feel stuck or overwhelmed.
The Short version:
Focuses on just simply saying "POC and POD", or "Everything that is I destroy and uncreate it!"
Quick and practical for daily use. (And easier to recall!)
Practical Tip:
Experiment with both. They both work!
Getting it Right
You might be worried about missing a word or putting one in the wrong place. Good news! You can't actually mess this up, because part of the unspoken intention is that you really, really, really mean it. You don't have to say the really mean it part, but you can know that it's the silent underlying energy of why you are saying the Clearing Statement in the first place.
The thing is that over time the Access Consciousness® Clearing Statement has change a few times; so do the old ones not work?
or did that clearing not really happen full then?
No, you can relax knowing that according to Access Consciousness® Founder Gary Douglas and co-creator Dr. Dain Heer both POC and POD & POD and POC will work to clear energy. Even if you accidentally flip words or miss one on occasion you're not going to end the world.
Things will still change.
They will still clear.
Putting It All Together
The Clearing Statement isn’t magic, even though we often call it a magic wand for removing limitation. What it IS is a practical tool that you can use on a day to day basis while going about your normal life. You don't have to even say it out loud for it to work! So next time you notice something is not ease, joy and glory then you can POD & POC it and see what changes!
HODL
Just remember that even with magic wands there are sometimes things are you are Holding On for Dear Life to that might take a little while to clear. And sometimes you've created a situation which is so tied up in multiple POVADS that it takes time to disassemble from your unconscious or subconscious. Tool: Never Give Up, Never Give In, Never Quit.
Just keep clearing! You can repeat the Clearing Statement in full, or POD & POC the sensation every time it starts to creep up.
If you are getting your Bars run and clearing something for 6 months and nothing changes, there's something else in there that you haven't looked at yet. Just like typical relationship arguments are never about the socks on the floor, maybe ask some questions about what you are really dealing with or go find a facilitator to ask you questions and help you find your awareness.
Invitation to Future Possibilities
You now have this tool at your disposal to start clearing mental and emotional clutter and create room for new awareness, creativity, and freedom. You don’t need to fully understand every term or concept in the Clearing Statement from Access Consciousness® in order to let it start clearing out all the yuck, stuck, and what the f*ck? in your world. So go forth and have fun!
The target is simple: use this consciousness tool to notice patterns, release judgment, and create awareness. Using it consistently can help you see life more openly, respond consciously, and gradually break free from repetitive stories, stuck energy, and limiting beliefs.
And finally in case you were wondering, I jokingly called this guide semi-complete because awareness is always unfolding AND there is more to this that could ever fit on a website.
